About the role

Egypt Education Platform is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year at GEMS British International School of Madinaty. The role focuses on providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement individualized educational strategies and interventions for students with diverse learning requirements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students needing additional academic support.
• Work alongside teachers to modify lessons and resources, guaranteeing accessibility for all learners.
• Monitor and report on student engagement and progress, offering insights for instructional adjustments.
• Promote positive social interactions and help students develop communication skills during group activities.
• Stay updated on best practices in special‑needs education.
• Contribute to a nurturing classroom atmosphere that values diversity and student well‑being.

Required profile

• A degree or relevant qualification in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role (highly desirable).
• Understanding of various learning disabilities and effective support techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, educators, and parents.
• Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individual student needs.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic educational environment.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive problem‑solving approach.
