Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant (Primary)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (Co‑Teacher) to join the primary team at GEMS British International School Al Rehab. You will work side‑by‑side with the class teacher to create an inclusive, supportive environment for students with diverse learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher during lessons and learning activities.
• Assist in planning, preparing, and organizing classroom resources.
• Provide individual or small‑group support to students as directed.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
• Supervise students during class time, breaks, and school activities when required.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Education or related field preferred).
• Fluency in English.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, supportive, and enthusiastic about working with children.
