Legal Advisor – International Non‑Profit

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal Advisor to provide high‑quality legal counsel to senior management and operational teams across a leading international non‑profit organization. The role ensures compliance, mitigates risk, and supports strategic decisions through thorough legal analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal advice and opinions on a wide range of matters to senior management and various departments.
• Research, analyze, and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and legislative developments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, and other legal documents.
• Review organizational policies, procedures, and governance documents from a legal perspective.
• Prepare legal studies, research papers, memoranda, and formal opinions.
• Manage legal disputes, claims, and litigation, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Advise on employment matters, internal investigations, and disciplinary issues.
• Represent the organization before governmental, regulatory, and judicial authorities when required.
• Monitor local and international legislative developments and assess their impact.
• Support legal risk‑management initiatives and promote legal awareness across the organization.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of professional legal experience.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
• Experience providing legal opinions in complex organizational environments.
• Background in large organizations, international NGOs, or multinational institutions preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
