Legal Inhouse Counsel

About the role

CEQUENS, a cloud communication platform serving the Middle East and Africa, is looking for a Legal Inhouse Counsel to join its growing team on site in Cairo (hybrid). Reporting to the Head of Legal, the role supports the legal department and helps manage the company's legal affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate legal documents such as contracts, leases and service agreements.
• Carry out legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with external counsel so that legal matters are completed on time and cost-effectively.
• Take part in company meetings and give legal guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate legal records and documentation.
• Develop and implement corporate legal policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, or a Master's degree or diploma in law.
• 4+ years of experience in an inhouse legal role, preferably in the telecommunications or tech industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Egyptian law, with wider knowledge of UAE, Saudi Arabian and MENA laws.
• Knowledge of commercial and business law.
