Local Legal Training Consultant – Cyber‑investigations & Cybercrime

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks a Local Legal Training Consultant specialized in cyber‑investigations and cybercrime to design and deliver gender‑sensitive training and workshops across the MENA region. The role is home‑based with travel to Egypt and runs from 27 April to 30 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate a two‑day roundtable for MENA cybercrime experts and produce a minimum 5‑page summary report.
• Deliver two three‑day cyber‑investigative trainings for ACA officers, including agenda, materials and a 4‑page report for each session.
• Lead a three‑day multi‑sectoral workshop on VAW&G, online violence, OCSE and CSAM, and submit a gender‑sensitive summary report.
• Coordinate two sets of two‑day mock trials on online violence and VAW&G, documenting scripts and learning points.
• Provide a two‑day OSINT investigation training for police officers handling VAW&G cases.
• Conduct capacity‑building workshops for criminal‑justice practitioners and produce outcome reports.
• Facilitate roundtables for Egyptian Parliament officials and Cassation Court judges, delivering recommendation reports.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in cyber‑investigations, cybercrime, and legal training.
• Experience with gender‑sensitive approaches, especially concerning women and girls.
• Ability to develop curricula, training materials, and comprehensive reports.
• Willingness to travel to Egypt and work remotely for the contract period.
