Logistic Operation Road Safety Specialist

About the role

The Logistic Operation Road Safety Specialist will lead defensive‑driving training, support site managers and ensure safe road‑transport practices across Lafarge Egypt’s cement plant in Ain Al‑Sokhna. The role combines hands‑on driver assessment, incident investigation and fatigue‑management monitoring to protect personnel and maintain compliance with safety legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver Smith System defensive‑driving training for all drivers.
• Assess new driver applicants, conduct pre‑start checks and support road‑transport audits.
• Assist site managers with risk assessments, road inspections and preparation of safe journey plans.
• Investigate transport incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and generate driver performance reports.
• Monitor driver rest hours using iVMS devices, enforce fatigue‑management policies and report deviations.
• Conduct toolbox talks on topics such as road black spots, near‑misses and fatigue.
• Administer driver drug testing, maintain records and manage a blacklist for positive results.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience as a professional driver in a logistics or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of road‑safety legislation and defensive‑driving techniques.
• Ability to train and communicate safety concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Valid Class A driving licence.
• Computer literacy.
• Certified Smith System trainer.
