Logistics Cost Analyst – Cairo

About the role

Mattu Fashion UK is seeking a Logistics Cost Analyst to join its Cairo office. You will be responsible for reviewing and validating freight, customs, and logistics invoices across Europe and the UK, while supporting financial planning and budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Review, cost, and validate freight, customs clearance, duty, delivery, and logistics invoices for Europe and the UK.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and coordinate with freight forwarders to resolve issues.
• Prepare purchase orders for customs clearance activities with freight forwarders in Hamburg, Rotterdam, and Valencia.
• Produce logistics cost variance reports to aid financial planning and budget control.
• Maintain an invoicing tracker to monitor receipt and approval status of invoices.
• Collaborate with the purchase ledger team to ensure timely approval and payment of forwarder invoices.
• Record customs VAT submissions.
• Obtain and negotiate freight quotations from sourcing countries and present summaries to management.
• Prepare customs clearance instructions for freight forwarders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in logistics.
• Very good English proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time‑management.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with multicultural teams.
