Logistics & Importation Specialist

About the role

The Logistics & Importation Specialist will oversee the complete import lifecycle, ensuring that pharmaceutical and biological products move smoothly from purchase order to final delivery while complying with Egyptian customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end import operations, from PO receipt to customs clearance and delivery.
• Create and submit ACID numbers through the Nafeza platform.
• Review HS Codes and coordinate clearance activities with customs brokers and authorities.
• Prepare and submit import documentation via CargoX, ensuring accuracy.
• Track shipment status, follow up on approvals, and resolve any documentation issues with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and regulatory bodies to guarantee timely clearance.
• Control import costs, minimize demurrage and storage charges, and monitor performance.
• Maintain detailed import records and generate periodic reports on shipment and clearance status.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in importation, international logistics, or supply chain management.
• Proven leadership with team‑building and people‑management experience.
• Mandatory experience handling pharmaceutical and/or biological product imports.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and compliance frameworks.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost control and performance optimization.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
