Logistics Specialist (Export Operations)

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will coordinate export shipments, ensuring that orders are scheduled, containers are booked, and goods move smoothly from production to the customer. You will act as the liaison between sales, planning, warehouse, customs, and shipping partners to meet delivery timelines while optimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive sales order schedules from the Export Customer Manager and monitor activation against required arrival times.
• Make reservations with shipping lines based on loading plans to secure the best service and price.
• Coordinate with Planning to verify raw‑material availability and align production plans with shipment dates.
• Find solutions for shipping and arrival issues when production cannot meet requirements.
• Work with the clearance department to open customs certificates for shipments.
• Initiate container ordering with transport companies and send loading orders to the warehouse.
• Track container movements 24/7, monitor warehouse loading, and ensure refrigerator balance to avoid overcrowding.
• Prepare bills of lading and deliver them to the documents department within 48 hours of vehicle departure.
• Follow up with land‑sea shipping agencies and submit daily reports on export sales, container data, and vessel schedules.
• Receive and forward shipping invoices to the finance department and monitor container condition for timely repairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, export shipping, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of export documentation, customs procedures, and container management.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of shipping line reservation processes.
• Familiarity with customs clearance documentation.
• Experience handling bills of lading and export reports.
