Low Current Systems Technician

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Low Current Systems Technician in 6th of October City, Egypt. The technician installs, maintains and repairs low-voltage electrical systems that support the hotel's critical operations, while diagnosing faults, ensuring safety compliance and keeping accurate records of all technical work.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security and communication networks
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment and analytical methods
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep systems running optimally and minimise downtime
• Test and calibrate equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs and system configurations clearly
• Coordinate installations and upgrades with other technicians and departments
• Follow safety regulations, electrical codes and company standards
• Respond quickly to service requests and emergency calls
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and spare parts
• Support and guide junior technicians

Required profile

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining or repairing low-current systems
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, security and data communication networks
• Understanding of electrical safety practices and relevant codes
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and system documentation
• Team player with good communication skills; previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred
• Egyptian nationality preferred; good English, additional languages a plus; prior experience with Opera or similar systems preferred

Required skills

• Diagnostic and testing equipment: multimeters, voltage testers and specialised low-voltage tools
• Preferred: HVAC controls, networking systems or building automation systems
• Relevant electrical certifications or licences as required locally
