Maintenance Engineer – Plant Equipment & Reliability

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of all plant equipment through corrective and preventive actions. You will lead a multi‑skilled technician team, manage spare parts, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a food‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update the preventive maintenance (PM) plan based on equipment condition and history.
• Minimize breakdowns by reducing response time and delivering optimal solutions quickly.
• Execute the Excellence in Maintenance (EXIM) TI‑Plan on schedule.
• Ensure spare‑parts availability by purchasing required items and consumables.
• Lead, motivate, and evaluate a team of technicians, fostering safety and quality compliance.
• Complete corrective and preventive actions promptly to avoid repeat defects and audit non‑conformances.
• Manage the PM budget, track year‑on‑year efficiencies, and report maintenance expenses.
• Utilize SAP maintenance module for PM scheduling, reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Develop and implement predictive and proactive maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical assets.
• Apply FMEA and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to critical equipment such as boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, and cold stores.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial plant maintenance, preferably in a food‑production setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a technical team.
• Solid understanding of quality, safety, GMP, and loss‑prevention standards.
• Ability to analyze maintenance performance data and drive continuous improvement.
