Maintenance Manager – Glass Container Manufacturing

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the upkeep of all cold‑end equipment in a glass container manufacturing plant. The role focuses on maximizing equipment availability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across the maintenance function.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for cold‑end equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimise downtime.
• Analyse equipment failures, conduct root‑cause analysis and apply permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment performance using KPIs, implement Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead, coach and evaluate maintenance engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Manage critical spare‑parts inventory and coordinate procurement.
• Ensure safety compliance, enforce LOTO procedures and participate in safety audits.
• Prepare and control the annual maintenance budget and evaluate contractor performance.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM and Kaizen initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS, develop SOPs and generate monthly KPI reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 15–20 years of maintenance experience in glass container manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
