Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and upkeep of plant and facility assets. The role ensures that all maintenance requests are completed, breakdowns are resolved promptly, and preventive maintenance programs are executed according to schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned maintenance service requests and resolve equipment breakdowns.
• Lead and monitor the activities of maintenance technicians to ensure quality and performance.
• Plan, schedule, and complete preventive maintenance tasks within established expense limits.
• Coordinate special projects and support external contractors as directed by the Project Manager.
• Provide 24‑hour emergency maintenance coverage as required.
• Monitor building utilities, alert the Maintenance Manager to unusual occurrences, and enforce safety standards.
• Maintain GMP, 5S, and ISO/OHSAS compliance in the workshop and across the plant.
• Implement and update the Plant Maintenance Master Plan, including corrective and preventive actions.
• Support SAP work order planning, machine history tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial or plant maintenance, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• Ability to manage a team of technicians and coordinate with external service providers.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and quality regulations (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001).
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and documentation.

Required skills

• Plant Maintenance SAP experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Familiarity with GMP and 5S methodologies.
