Manager Controllership

About the role

The Manager Controllership will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with Group accounting standards for AngloGold Ashanti's Sukari operation. The role drives process improvement, supports audit readiness, and collaborates across functions to align finance processes with the One Finance vision.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate Centamin into AngloGold Ashanti standards, aligning financial processes and controls.
• Lead financial controllership, systems integration and SOX compliance across operating assets and holding companies.
• Review GL entries, journals and SAP movements to ensure accurate period‑end classification and robust monthly reporting.
• Identify and account for complex non‑routine transactions, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and Group directives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, remediate ICFR deficiencies and foster a strong SOX controls culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the mining industry, corporate reporting or financial accounting.
• Strong governance and compliance capability with experience in cross‑functional, geographically dispersed teams.
