Market Development Leader - Iraq

About the role

As part of Mars' MEA strategy, the Market Development Leader will drive growth for Mars Snacking categories in Iraq, a high‑potential stage‑3 market. The role is responsible for building and executing the route‑to‑market strategy, partnering with distributors and internal functions to accelerate both top‑line and bottom‑line performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy the market OGSM and a 3‑to‑5‑year route‑to‑market strategy aligned with NALT objectives.
• Own P&L performance, managing trade, distribution and marketing budgets to meet growth targets.
• Lead distributor relationships, set sales targets, and ensure execution of sales and distribution KPIs.
• Design and implement channel strategies, securing strategic accounts and driving category initiatives.
• Coordinate demand planning, forecasting, replenishment and inventory management with supply and logistics teams.

Required profile

• Graduate with at least 6 years of experience in a blue‑chip FMCG or consumer product environment.
• Proven ability to lead joint business planning, negotiate category drivers and manage financial KPIs.
• Resilient, decisive and able to navigate complex, fast‑changing environments.
