Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design (4+ Years Experience)

About the role

UniPower is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC design to join its on‑site team in 6 October City. The role focuses on delivering reliable, energy‑efficient heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning solutions for industrial and commercial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform HVAC load calculations and select appropriate equipment.
• Create detailed ductwork, piping and equipment layouts using CAD tools.
• Prepare comprehensive design documents, drawings and technical reports.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, attend site visits and support installation, testing and commissioning.
• Interpret project specifications, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assist in tender and proposal development.
• Resolve design‑related issues during execution and contribute to continuous improvement of design practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and HVAC system design.
• Experience with industrial or commercial HVAC projects (approximately 4 years).
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards such as ASHRAE and local building regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) for HVAC layouts and documentation.
• Load calculations and equipment selection for HVAC systems.
• Ductwork and piping layout design.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and relevant local regulations.
