Mechanical Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

Join Dar’s multidisciplinary team as a Mechanical Engineer focused on infrastructure projects. You will design and develop mechanical systems for a variety of critical facilities, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for pumping stations, treatment plants, tunnels, district cooling networks, and gas distribution systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports in compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical solutions into complex project designs.
• Identify and resolve design and construction challenges with innovative, risk‑mitigating solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and apply cutting‑edge technologies to optimise system performance.
• Ensure all engineering activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering on infrastructure projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical information effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent analytical abilities with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience using simulation and engineering design tools.
