Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our food manufacturing team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure efficient and reliable production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects and equipment upgrades.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of new mechanical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and safety teams to ensure reliable operations.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, including design specifications and maintenance logs.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff.
• Evaluate production line performance to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
• Lead Natural Resources Conservation initiatives and implement Kellogg Working Standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
• Leadership skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with SAP.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities.
