Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in energy, marine, infrastructure and defence and security projects, is looking for a reliable and highly motivated Mechanical Site Engineer to join its team on a major project in Suez, Egypt. The role covers planning, supervising and executing maintenance of factory machinery and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of factory machinery and equipment
• Monitor production line performance and implement improvements to maximise equipment reliability and efficiency
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, carry out root cause analysis and resolve breakdowns promptly
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and improve maintenance practices
• Monitor spare parts availability and optimise maintenance costs
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance teams and ensure compliance with procedures, quality standards and health and safety requirements
• Prepare maintenance reports, analyse equipment performance and recommend improvements
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at higher plant productivity and less downtime

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within concrete products manufacturing or a similar industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance systems
• Good understanding of industrial machinery, rotating equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
• Good command of English and proficiency in Microsoft Office
