Mechanical Team Leader Design Engineer

About the role

IEC is seeking a Mechanical Team Leader Design Engineer to lead mechanical design activities for building and infrastructure projects in Ad-Duqqi. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all mechanical designs meet project requirements, international codes, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical system design for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use projects.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Guide junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with architectural, civil, structural, and electrical teams to ensure integrated solutions.
• Support project managers with progress reports, technical input, and resource planning.
• Continuously improve design processes and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑fighting (MEP) design.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• PMP or other professional certifications are a plus.
