Mixing Chemist – Detergent & Cosmetic Formulations

About the role

The Mixing Chemist is responsible for preparing and mixing detergent and cosmetic formulations in accordance with approved recipes and production procedures. The role ensures product consistency, quality, safety and efficient use of raw materials while operating the RO water treatment unit.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and mix batches following approved formulations, quantities, sequence, mixing time, temperature and speed.
• Monitor the mixing process, verify specifications and report any abnormalities or quality issues.
• Operate and perform routine checks on the RO water treatment unit to guarantee water quality for production.
• Maintain accurate records of raw material consumption, batch parameters and results.
• Ensure proper cleaning, housekeeping and compliance with SOPs, GMP, chemical handling and HSE regulations.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Production, Warehouse and Maintenance teams and support investigations of batch deviations.

Required profile

• BSc in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in detergents, cosmetics, personal care or related chemical manufacturing.
• Practical experience in batch preparation, mixing operations and RO water treatment unit monitoring.
• Good understanding of chemical raw materials, formulations and GMP requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
