MRP Engineer

About the role

The MRP Engineer will be responsible for planning and managing material requirements for CKD and SKD automotive assembly lines. The role ensures that the right components are available at the right time, supporting continuous production and optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze annual and monthly production plans and translate them into precise material requirements (BOM analysis).
• Execute and monitor MRP runs on ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Coordinate with Procurement and local suppliers to track purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Monitor on‑hand inventory, define reorder points, and minimize capital tied up in stock.
• Track engineering changes to Bills of Materials and update the planning system promptly.
• Identify potential material shortages and develop contingency plans.
• Prepare periodic reports on material availability, variance analysis, and dead stock.
• Liaise with Production, Warehousing, and Quality departments to ensure material specifications are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in material or production planning, preferably in automotive assembly.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• CKD and SKD manufacturing cycle knowledge.
• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Advanced Power BI (DAX, dashboard creation).
• Proficiency with ERP systems – SAP or Oracle.
