On-site Service Engineer

About the role

Join Xerox’s service delivery team in Cairo as an On‑site Service Engineer. You will work directly at a customer’s location, ensuring the printing environment runs smoothly and providing high‑quality technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor device uptime and perform regular preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs on Xerox printers and multifunction devices.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support teams.
• Replenish toner, consumables and manage on‑site spare‑parts inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, requests and inventory.
• Coordinate service actions to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide face‑to‑face customer service and support end users.
• Keep devices and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
• Travel locally within Cairo to collect spare parts and supplies as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in IT support, technical support or a similar role, or a recent IT‑related graduate.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently on a customer site.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fundamentals of computer networking.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting.
