Operations Analyst – Remote (Contract, $15.3/hr)

About the role

This contract position supports SwarmBench by designing and implementing multi‑agent benchmark tasks that simulate real‑world operational challenges. The role is fully remote, requires 20‑40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time, and lasts for four weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑agent benchmark tasks covering planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Create realistic operational scenarios such as logistics, project management, incident response, and capacity planning.
• Develop constraint‑rich problem statements with multiple dependencies and variables.
• Write Python scripts to evaluate feasibility, completeness, and optimality of tasks.
• Decompose complex problems into structured sub‑tasks for multi‑agent systems.
• Model scenarios with timelines, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve task quality, coverage, and evaluation rigor.

Required profile

• Strong experience in operations, project management, logistics, or supply chain.
• Deep understanding of constraints, dependencies, and scheduling logic.
• Proficiency in Python for validation and verification scripting.
• Excellent structured problem‑solving and decomposition abilities.
• Clear technical communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
