Operations Engineer – Remote, $15/hr

About the role

This contract position focuses on designing and implementing multi‑agent benchmark tasks that simulate real‑world operational challenges. You will work remotely, collaborating with a research team to create realistic planning, scheduling, and resource‑allocation scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop multi‑agent benchmark tasks covering logistics, project management, incident response, and capacity planning.
• Create constraint‑rich problem statements with multiple dependencies, variables, and resource limits.
• Write Python scripts to evaluate feasibility, completeness, and optimality of the benchmark tasks.
• Decompose complex operational problems into structured sub‑tasks for multi‑agent systems.
• Model scenarios with timelines, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve task quality, coverage, and evaluation rigor.

Required profile

• Strong experience in operations, project management, logistics, or supply‑chain environments.
• Deep understanding of constraints, dependencies, and scheduling logic.
• Proficiency in Python for validation and verification scripting.
• Excellent structured problem‑solving and decomposition abilities.
• Clear technical communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
