Oracle Cloud Engineer - Manager

About the role

PwC's Advisory practice in Cairo is looking for a manager to lead the design and development of end-to-end cloud architectures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role ensures alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth, and works closely with engineering teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess existing systems and propose cloud solutions that meet performance, security and cost-efficiency standards.
• Develop architectural designs, technical specifications and migration strategies for cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Provide expert guidance and oversight during implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and cloud standards.
• Define and enforce cloud governance frameworks, security controls and compliance measures.
• Conduct architecture reviews, performance optimization and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and contribute to best practices, standards and methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect or in a comparable role.
• Proven track record in architecting complex, scalable and highly available cloud solutions under security and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services such as Compute, Database Services, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking and IAM.
• Experience with Oracle Database technologies, including Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard, and with migrating on-premises and cloud-based Oracle databases.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, serverless computing, containerization and hybrid cloud.
• Cloud Professional certification; OCI certification is a plus.
