About the role
Louisiana State University of Alexandria is seeking qualified professionals to join its online faculty as part‑time adjunct instructors in Physics or Physical Science. The role supports the university’s expanding online program portfolio and offers flexible teaching opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Complete LSU Online training and adhere to its standards.
- Develop, deliver, and manage online courses in physics or related physical sciences.
- Maintain high instructional quality and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours or the next business day.
- Hold regular virtual office hours and provide electronic support to students.
- Assist with curriculum development and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Master’s, M.A., or Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in one discipline.
- Two years of experience creating or teaching online courses is preferred.
- ABD candidates will be considered if the Ph.D. is completed by the start date.
