Pastry Commis

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is hiring a Pastry Commis in Greater Cairo. The Pastry Commis prepares pastry items quickly under close supervision, keeping quality, hygiene and presentation standards, and supports the pastry department during opening and closing.

Key responsibilities

• Check that products for service stations meet par levels at the start of each shift and order needed items from the internal store.
• Take part in opening and closing the pastry department and help stock and receive goods.
• Prepare pastry items to recipe, HACCP standards, portion control and presentation guidelines.
• Distribute prepared orders to the outlets as required.
• Keep workstations clean: clean the fridge, shelves and counter, and sharpen knives and clean utensils at the end of the shift.
• Follow security, fire and general safety rules and report incidents to management.
• Check shelf life, label items with production and expiry dates, and report on waste.
• Know products well enough to answer customer questions.

Required profile

• High school degree.
• Zero to one year of experience in F&B operations or a similar role.
