Payment Processor – French Required (Cairo)

About the role

The Payments Operations team is expanding its Cairo hub to serve MENA markets. We are looking for an experienced professional to join as a Processor for Cash, Payments and Reconciliation, ensuring high‑quality processing while complying with AML and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HSBC‑specific systems to process payments efficiently.
• Review customer payment details to detect potential money‑laundering or terrorist‑financing patterns.
• Collect, analyse and transmit supporting documentation to the Assistant Manager of Operations.
• Identify and investigate suspicious transactional activity using internal tools and external data sources.
• Maintain strict adherence to compliance, operational risk controls and escalation procedures.
• Report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.
• Stay updated on system changes, policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
• Participate in short‑term quality‑focused projects and assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency with basic office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, Lotus Notes).
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing corporate objectives and processes.
• Strong focus on quality while handling high volumes.
• Self‑motivated, pragmatic with a sense of urgency.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
