Physical Distribution Specialist - Supply Chain

About the role

The Physical Distribution Specialist supports daily shipment, inventory, and delivery activities for Philips. You will monitor inbound and outbound shipments, reconcile inventory between SAP and third‑party provider systems, and coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Track inbound and outbound shipments and update status until delivery.
• Assist with goods inspections and basic inventory checks at 3PL sites.
• Reconcile stock between SAP and 3PL WMS, reporting any discrepancies.
• Investigate and document inventory differences such as damage, loss, or missing items.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and importers to gather required documents for customs clearance.
• Provide regular delivery status reports to stakeholders.
• Work with project management, finance, and order management teams to resolve delivery or inventory issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures and meet quality and timeline expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Reliable time and deadline management with consistent follow‑up.
• Ability to compare and analyse Excel reports and other tools.
• Experience or willingness to coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and 3PLs.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or other inventory/WMS systems is a plus.
• Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English.
