Physics Specialist – Remote, $250 per task

About the role

We are looking for a remote Physics Specialist to design and solve challenging physics problems that test the limits of large language models. This short‑term contract (3 months) offers $250 per completed task and requires a commitment of up to 40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Design original physics problems spanning early‑undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.
• Produce clear, step‑by‑step solutions with well‑articulated reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problems with evaluation goals.
• Help define new benchmark datasets based on physics curricula.
• Explain physics concepts using simple language, visuals, and logical reasoning.
• Provide detailed feedback and annotations for AI evaluation workflows.

Required profile

• Master’s, PhD, or post‑doctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Creative, lateral thinking and self‑motivation for independent remote work.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop.
