Power Supply Technician

About the role

The Power Supply Technician ensures continuous electrical supply to critical loads such as trains, lighting, air‑conditioning, and escalators. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing troubleshooting actions, and maintaining equipment to guarantee supply continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Validate failure reports and record incidents accurately.
• Analyze incident history, diagnose faults, and execute troubleshooting and validation procedures.
• Conduct tests, verifications, and quality checks in line with Quality Assurance procedures.
• Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and manage completion times.
• Organise workspace logistics and ensure traceability of work performed.
• Transfer knowledge to team members, train newcomers and interns.
• Handle potential conflict situations and support the maintenance supervisor in workload distribution.

Required profile

• Diploma in an electrical field; higher studies are a plus.
• Minimum five years of electrical maintenance experience, including at least two years in substation environments.
• Experience in the railway industry is advantageous.
• Fluent Arabic and good command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to work under pressure, in shifts (day & night), and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting single‑line diagrams and technical plans.
• Troubleshooting methods for medium‑ and low‑voltage equipment.
• Use of measuring and testing devices.
• Knowledge of protection principles (voltage relays, CT, VT).
• Hands‑on experience with transformers, circuit breakers, UPS, batteries, PLCs, control panels, cables, and DC equipment such as rectifiers.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
