Private Equity Risk Manager

About the role

The Private Equity Risk Manager is responsible for overseeing risk management across the full lifecycle of the bank's private equity investments. This senior position works closely with the investment team to ensure that risk is identified, quantified, and mitigated at every stage, from entry to exit, capital increases, restructuring and liquidation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and quantify risks of potential private equity investments and advise the investment sector on mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement risk‑mitigation plans for divestments, capital raising, restructuring and liquidation processes.
• Monitor market conditions and their impact on exit strategies and expected returns.
• Safeguard assets during liquidation, manage risk in asset sales and ensure risk‑aware distribution of proceeds.
• Collaborate with the investment team to create risk‑aware plans for restructuring and capital increase initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or a related field; mandatory credit course and ACI certification.
• Minimum 11 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within banking or financial institutions.
• At least 7 years of private equity risk experience in the financial industry.
• Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
