Process Engineer – Manufacturing (FMCG)

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join a leading multinational FMCG and chemical manufacturer in 6th of October City, Egypt. The role focuses on optimizing mixing and filling operations, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Reduce production waste, scrap, and material losses across operations.
• Monitor daily production reports and performance indicators.
• Oversee mixing and filling operations to meet production plans and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and operator guidelines.
• Improve processes and propose technology enhancements.
• Participate in HACCP, PFMEA, and risk assessments.
• Prepare and review Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Production Documents (BPD).
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D, NPD/EPD teams for new and existing products.
• Ensure timely closure of NCRs and internal audit actions.
• Train operators on procedures and batch documentation.
• Conduct safety tours, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Use data (Gantt charts, reports) to identify gaps and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in FMCG, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience with mixing lines and liquid/chemical manufacturing processes.
• Proven track record in production optimization, waste reduction, and scrap minimization.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Residents of 6th of October or Giza preferred.
