Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to lead the sourcing and supplier management activities for our construction projects. The role blends engineering knowledge with business acumen to ensure the right materials and services are obtained at the best value while meeting quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans aligned with strategic business objectives, identify suppliers and negotiate contracts.
• Create and apply methods to evaluate supplier performance on quality, price, delivery time and other customer‑impact factors.
• Conduct audits of supplier records to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare and analyse bid reports, verifying compliance with government regulations.
• Review requisitions and purchase orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Assess supplier bids for reasonableness in price, product quality and delivery timelines.
• Develop new commercial products based on customer needs.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with selected suppliers on behalf of the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3–6 years of procurement experience within the construction sector.
• Registered member of the engineers’ syndicate.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
