Procurement Supervisor – FMCG

About the role

The Procurement Supervisor will lead end‑to‑end sourcing of raw materials and imported spare parts for a fast‑moving consumer goods operation. The role ensures continuous supply, cost‑effective purchasing and timely delivery to support uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials from local and international suppliers, evaluating quality, cost, availability and lead time.
• Manage procurement of spare parts and machinery components from overseas suppliers.
• Identify, assess and develop reliable suppliers to build a competitive supply base.
• Prepare and analyse quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, Incoterms and contracts.
• Issue purchase orders and oversee the process from requisition to final delivery.
• Coordinate with logistics, planning, production, warehouse, finance and other stakeholders to ensure smooth import and procurement processes.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality or delivery issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data in the ERP system.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, spend analysis, savings and delivery performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier performance and mitigate supply risks while ensuring compliance with company policies and import/export regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 8–12 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG or process manufacturing.
• Proven experience in international/import procurement of raw materials and spare parts.
• Fluent written and spoken English for supplier negotiations and documentation.
• Willingness to travel within Egypt to visit suppliers and manufacturing sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for procurement data management.
