Procurement & Transportation Management Associate

About the role

The Procurement & Transportation Management Associate supports Nestlé Business Solutions in Cairo by ensuring smooth procurement operations and effective liaison between internal teams and external suppliers. The role focuses on resolving order issues, maintaining accurate procurement records, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve order discrepancies related to price, quantity, or quality, coordinating with suppliers to ensure contract compliance.
• Create, amend, and track purchase orders to guarantee timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain procurement databases, contracts, and supplier information with up‑to‑date documentation.
• Collaborate with strategic buyers, finance, and operations to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Prepare and present reports such as GRIR, overdue PO, and issue‑resolution summaries for management review.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities and best practices.
• Initiate competitive bidding using the approved template and manage the RFQ process when requisitions are incomplete.
• Oversee invoice clearance, manage exceptions, and resolve blocked invoices.
• Facilitate vendor registration and data changes within defined timeframes.
• Create SAP contracts for locally managed spend, including catalogue and easy‑request setups.
• Generate material coverage reports for imports and maintain purchasing views for new materials.
• Provide refresher training and support to end‑users throughout the procurement cycle.
