Product Certification Engineer

About the role

The Product Certification Engineer will ensure that water heaters and electrical heaters produced at our Cairo facility meet all applicable regional standards and regulations. You will act as the bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and certification bodies to guarantee product compliance across the MEA region and South America.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate certification activities and manage regulatory requirements for the MEA region and South America.
• Validate engineering changes against new regulations and certification points of view.
• Interact with authorities and notified bodies, handling the certification process and responding to non‑conformity reports.
• Supervise testing activities conducted by authorities to confirm product compliance.
• Negotiate product modifications with quality, engineering, and R&D teams to meet regional standards.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date approvals library and ensure timely renewal of licenses.
• Register products with customs and regulatory agencies as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in product certification, preferably for home appliances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of IEC 60335 home‑appliance certification.
• Familiarity with local certification schemes such as ESMA, G‑Mark and SASO.
• Experience using laboratory equipment and engineering tools.
