Production Engineer

About the role

City Glass, a leading manufacturer of tableware, is seeking a Production Engineer for its plant in 10th of Ramadan. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining optimal production parameters, ensuring high‑quality glass output, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor press speeds and product weights to achieve target weight standards.
• Calculate furnace pull rates and continuously assess glass quality throughout each shift.
• Track and adjust operating conditions for each product to maintain ideal production parameters.
• Monitor temperature levels to keep operating conditions optimal for all product lines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the glass or other heavy‑industry sectors.
• Willingness to work on a rotating shift system with 24 hours off after each cycle.
