Production Engineer – Steel Workshop

About the role

Auto Truck Co. seeks a Production Engineer for its Steel Workshop to supervise and enhance metal fabrication operations. The role involves managing daily production, ensuring quality, and driving efficiency in a high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily steel workshop activities including fabrication, cutting, drilling, welding, bending and hydraulic press operations.
• Ensure correct machine setup, tool, jig and fixture usage, and monitor dimensions, alignment and fabrication accuracy.
• Coordinate with Quality Control and Maintenance to meet dimensional and equipment requirements.
• Train and guide operators and technicians, monitor material consumption and minimize waste.
• Prepare daily and weekly production reports and track KPIs such as output, rejection, scrap and downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in metal fabrication or steel workshop environments.
• Proven ability to supervise operators, troubleshoot production issues and improve cycle time.
