Production Lead

About the role

The Production Lead will oversee the entire production process at Geocycle Egypt, ensuring safety, quality, and cost‑effective operations while meeting customer delivery requirements. This role combines health‑and‑safety stewardship with strategic production planning to optimise capacity and support the company’s sustainable waste‑management objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce Lafarge safety standards, conduct safety meetings, and lead investigations of major incidents.
• Provide monthly safety performance reports and develop health‑and‑safety improvement plans.
• Develop and execute the master production schedule aligned with strategic objectives.
• Coordinate material supply, forecast demand, and manage capacity planning.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, and material status, reporting issues proactively.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (LCE, Purchasing, Sourcing, Production, Laboratory, Commercial) to align plans.
• Continuously improve SOPs and operational procedures for efficiency and consistency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production or manufacturing leadership, preferably in industrial or waste‑management environments.
• Strong understanding of health‑and‑safety legislation and ability to promote a safety culture.
• Excellent analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with diverse internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Ability to develop, implement and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experience with production planning, capacity forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and incident investigation processes.
