Production Line Engineer

About the role

The Production Line Engineer will oversee daily operations on an electronics manufacturing floor, ensuring that production follows the approved plan and quality standards. You will act as the main link between the factory floor and Head Office, providing clear updates and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all active production lines, verify compliance with specifications, and report daily progress to Head Office.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, escalating when specialist support is required.
• Conduct hands‑on quality audits, including visual inspection and functional verification of assembled PCBs.
• Perform and demonstrate correct through‑hole and SMD soldering, rework, and repair; train factory workers on best practices.
• Operate and verify tools such as soldering irons, hot‑air rework stations, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and bench power supplies.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies, read schematics and PCB layout files using EDA software.
• Maintain and update production manuals and work instructions based on in‑process findings.
• Coordinate end‑of‑line batch inspections during client visits and ensure process compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 1‑3 years of experience in electronics assembly, repair, and production support.
• Proven ability to work with factory personnel, R&D engineers, and external clients.
• Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Through‑hole and SMD soldering, rework techniques.
• PCB‑level troubleshooting and repair.
• Use of oscilloscope, digital multimeter (DMM), bench power supply, hot‑air rework station.
• Reading schematics and PCB layout files.
• Familiarity with PCB design/viewer software (Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar).
