Professor / Associate Professor in Commercial Law

About the role

The German University in Cairo is seeking highly qualified full‑time academic staff to join its Program of Law and Legal Studies. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in commercial law and contribute to the development of teaching materials and seminars.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses such as Companies Law, Legal Aspects of International Trade and WTO, International Commercial Arbitration, Maritime and Air Law, and International Business Transactions.
• Develop and update teaching materials, case studies, and seminar content.
• Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum design and research initiatives.
• Participate in academic committees and contribute to the university’s research output.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in law or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, with publications and research activity.
• Industry experience in commercial law or related areas.
• Strong student‑orientation and active involvement in the business and legal community through memberships, consulting, or publications.
