Project Engineer – Steel Fabrication & Galvanization

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead engineering projects focused on the design, fabrication, and galvanization of steel components for center‑pivot irrigation systems. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from concept through completion.
• Develop detailed project plans covering timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee design, fabrication, and galvanization processes to meet industry specifications.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and enforce quality control.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, production, and quality teams for seamless execution.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare project documentation and progress reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of project engineering experience in steel fabrication or galvanization (5‑7 years preferred for irrigation equipment).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification such as PMP is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Experience using project management software.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation in steel fabrication.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
