Project Engineering Manager – ATS/SCADA Integration

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead the configuration, integration and delivery of Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), SCADA and Cybersecurity systems for its Cairo projects. The role works closely with test & commissioning, project management and software development teams to ensure designs meet functional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and plan the configuration of ATS, SCADA and Cybersecurity systems.
• Oversee integration of software deliveries developed across multiple Alstom sites.
• Provide support for on‑site test and commissioning activities.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, specifications and technical records.
• Apply system engineering processes to guarantee technical compliance with defined needs.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design alignment with intended functions and architecture.
• Engage with project management teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 7–12 years of experience in engineering or engineering management.
• Knowledge of railway systems (preferred).
• Experience with automation systems, especially SCADA products.
• Understanding of industrial protocols such as OPC‑UA, OPC‑DA, MODBUS, SNMP.
• Good knowledge of PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to work transversally with engineering teams and a proactive mindset.
