Project Financial Manager

About the role

The Project Financial Manager will lead the financial management of railway infrastructure projects for Colas Rail Egypt. Reporting to the Project Director / CFO, you will ensure robust budgeting, forecasting, cost control and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts and financial KPIs.
• Prepare variance analyses, completion estimates and profitability reports.
• Oversee billing, invoicing, accruals, cost allocations and inter‑company transactions.
• Monitor project costs, identify financial risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver accurate monthly financial statements and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, accounting standards and company policies.
• Forecast cash collections, track client payments and manage cash flow.
• Support evaluation of commercial risks, claims, change orders and contract amendments.
• Provide financial guidance to project teams and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification (CMA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience in railway, construction, infrastructure or engineering projects.
• Proven expertise in project finance, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or other financial management systems.
