Projects Manager – Cold Chain

About the role

As a Projects Manager – Cold Chain you will drive the expansion of Talabat’s store network across Egypt, ensuring that every new location meets the highest standards of construction, maintenance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define country expansion plans to achieve growth targets.
• Plan and execute end‑to‑end store scouting, layout design, tender analysis, contract awarding, construction and commissioning.
• Lead cross‑functional coordination (logistics, commercial, operations, legal, city heads) for expansion decisions.
• Create and implement a best‑practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures.
• Manage the construction and procurement cycle from pre‑leasing to go‑live, including tendering, drawings, BOQs and negotiations.
• Negotiate landlord contracts to meet budget objectives.
• Ensure alignment between all functions until the go‑live date.
• Lead a team of maintenance supervisors, technicians and external vendors for all Egyptian stores.
• Own the maintenance overhead budget and drive cost optimisation.
• Design and allocate maintenance team resources for efficient utilisation.
• Lead complex problem‑solving using analytical tools and judgement.
• Deliver operations optimisation initiatives such as layout and dispatch area improvements, and manage CPAEX & OPEX related to maintenance and construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in cold‑chain maintenance.
• Proven stakeholder management experience both internally and externally.
• Demonstrated team‑management capabilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
