Purchasing & Logistics Executive

About the role

The Purchasing & Logistics Executive will lead procurement and logistics activities for HVD Egypt, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, timely delivery, and full regulatory compliance. The role works closely with internal departments and external partners to maintain a reliable supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement with pre‑approved vendors, place and monitor purchase orders.
• Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts and pricing, and recommend improvements.
• Oversee import clearance (EDA) and coordinate with warehouse staff for receipt of shipments.
• Track shipments, resolve logistics delays, and ensure proper packaging.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, customs documents, and bank/APB documents.
• Provide updates to Accounting for financial reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with government bodies and logistics providers for overseas purchases.
• Implement internal controls, conduct audits, and support strategic procurement decisions.
• Train and mentor junior staff and prepare regular procurement and logistics reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing cycles, supplier management and import clearance (EDA).
• Very good command of English and Arabic.
