Purchasing Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function, ensuring the timely acquisition of raw materials, production supplies, and spare parts to support manufacturing operations. This senior position requires strategic sourcing, cost control, and strong supplier relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with production requirements.
• Manage the purchasing department and supervise the procurement team.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
• Monitor market prices and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Issue and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Finance, and Quality departments.
• Maintain purchasing budgets and control procurement costs.
• Prepare purchasing reports, supplier evaluations, and cost analysis for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing or Procurement Manager.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
