Purchasing Specialist – Indirect Procurement

About the role

The Purchasing Specialist will own the end‑to‑end procurement process for a wide range of indirect goods and services, from uniforms and office furniture to event materials and branding assets. You will work closely with internal teams to understand needs, source suppliers, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value in quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, assess proposals, and recommend vendors based on commercial and technical criteria.
• Create, review, and process purchase orders in line with procurement policies and budget approvals.
• Manage supplier contracts, service agreements, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Finance for invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Support internal stakeholders—including Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, and Warehouse—to ensure smooth receipt, inspection, and hand‑over of purchased items.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably for indirect goods and services.
• Good knowledge of procurement principles and purchasing processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong supplier relationship management and networking skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
